COSOL delivers SAP ECC6 implementation at QN

With the recent sale of Yabulu Refinery from BHPBilliton into the management of Queensland Nickel (QN); COSOL has delivered a resources industry implementation of SAP ECC6, SAP Xi for integration and SAP’s Business objects reporting suite for advanced business reporting.

Basil Ahyick, Queensland Nickel CFO said “QN knew it could rely on COSOL’s experience in M&A transitioning, deep knowledge of the mining industry, experience in IT transitions and delivering SAP implementations”. Also important: COSOL’s industry service partner relationship with leading enterprise software maker, SAP.

The massive changeover involved transitioning inbound, and outbound supply chain, sales, financials, human resources, payroll, and plant maintenance to the new SAP EEC6 solution. The project team was based at the refinery and worked in an open plan project office to ensure effective communications.
